The Story of Marquette Cement Factory
The plant was built in Lawrence County, Ohio, in a small city named Pedro. It was strategically located in the heart of Coal and Iron country, serving as another testament to the flourishing industrial age of the time. Although the plant changed hands several times over the years, it consistently remained profitable and actively engaged in production. Unfortunately, it ultimately closed its doors for good many decades ago, leaving behind a legacy steeped in mystery. Rumors regarding the reasons for its closure have been whispered through the community, with many pointing toward a tragic event that still seems to haunt the site to this day. While I have not found any solid evidence of catastrophe or calamity, it is said that everyone still loves a good story, right?
