M/V Charleston
M/V Charleston is an older towboat still working the waters today. The vessel was originally built in 1947 by Hillman Barge of Brownsville, Pennsylvania. Previously named Onward, Flagship, Mike J. and now the Charleston. The Charleston was repowered in 1997 with two Caterpillar 3512 diesel engines and equipped with Caterpillar reduction gears at a ratio of 4.22:1.
